Things that happened today - I'm running 2 1/2 days together
1. Woke up Thanksgiving morning and played with Watson and had early breakfast with Jared
2. Went to work
3. Rounded on and admitted new patients while answering lots of pages.
4. Had makeshift Thanksgiving meal in call room with my two other residents and the ICU residents
5. Called family to wish them Happy Thanksgiving
6. Realized the VA did not get Fox and would not be able to watch Dallas game. Took a moment to feel very sad.
7. Admitted more patients and then rounded on them all the next morning.
8. Came home day after Thanksgiving and was going to take a quick "nap" at 4 in the afternoon.
9. Woke up at 5 the next morning.

Things I look forward to:
1. Quiet nights with Jared
2. Watson standing up in his crib and smiling at me after naps
3. Meeting Ralston Cain
4. Going to Corsicana for New Year's
5. Sundays I get to go to church and/or small group
6. Watching Mom, Dad, Beth, Kara, Clint's reaction when they see Watson after so long
7. Giving Watson his baths
8. Going to Fido with Jared and Watson this morning (hurry and wake up, guys!)

Things on my Wish list:
1. Time with just Jared
2. Time with Jared and Watson
3. Time with just Watson
4. Time to run
5. More quiet time for prayer, reading and meditation
6. Time to talk to friends - face to face or on the phone
7. Going to Texas, North Carolina, Memphis, California, Colorado
8. To not feel like an idiot at work (think Scrubs)
