We're Back!!

Watston wins the Best Traveling Baby Award for our trip. We drove 2000 miles from Nashville to Memphis for my graduation, then Memphis to Corsicana, Texas (with Grams and Papa Bill). On Wednesday we drove from Corsicana to Table Rock Lake, Missouri (with Grandma and Pawpaw, Watson's great-grandparents) and then on Sunday back to Nashville. He played and slept the entire time with the exception of the last two hours. But we were all tired and cranky at that point.

Watson was the hit of the week. He got to meet my mom's side of the family in Texas and my dad's in Missouri. If he could talk, he would have been saying, "I don't know who all these people are, but I sure to like them!"

Aunt Karen and Uncle Steve have a beautiful lake house. We loved sitting on the porch in the mornings drinking coffee and watching the birds. We wish Kara and Keith would have been able to stay until Sunday because we missed getting them in the final-day picture.

Aunt Beth is so comfy!

Watson and Cousin Lillie. We were very happy she didn't lovingly body-slam him, like she does all of her stuffed animals.

Life is very good for Papa Bill on the "screaming" porch.

Watson very much enjoyed the picnic. I enjoyed Watson when it started pouring down rain and I got out of clean up duty and got to sit in the dry car. A mom has to take care of her baby!

Watson and Dad enjoying the campfire.

Doesn't he look super-comfortable? That's because he's on a bed at the Peabody, one of Jared's surprises for my graduation weekend. It was heavenly.

Watson was a bit unsure about what I was wearing until he discovered my tassle. I think he would prefer that I wore a tassel on my head every day.

After a long day of graduation, sitting in the Peabody lobby.

Aunt Kara has always been so wonderful with babies. It's lots of fun to watch her with ours.

Watson got to meet Uncle Mike, who knows a bit about baby boys. He has two grandsons ages 4 and 1 and another one due in August. Cousin Michelle will have the world's most fun house.
